Radio Health Reports
// Measurement-first RF service
Know what the radio is actually doing.
A radio that powers on is not necessarily a radio that performs correctly. Arcovex RF documents measurable VHF/UHF performance so you can buy, sell, troubleshoot, or plan service with useful data.
Available for amateur mobile radios, base radios, and selected handhelds in the Spring Hill and Kansas City area. Mail-in work is accepted after intake review.
What may be measured
The exact scope depends on the radio, supported modes, and selected report level. Results are documented at the time of testing.
RF output power
Measured transmit power at supported test points.
Frequency accuracy
Carrier-frequency error compared with the test reference.
FM deviation
Voice deviation and modulation behavior when applicable.
CTCSS / DCS
Tone or code function checked where supported.
Receive checks
Receive function and sensitivity checks when supported.
Current draw
Operating and transmit current documented as appropriate.
Spectral sanity
Basic spectral observations when useful and appropriate.
Condition notes
Physical observations, photos, and plain-language findings.
Choose the level of confidence you need
Every service begins with a defined scope. Additional alignment, repair labor, or parts require approval.
Focused baseline
Basic VHF/UHF test report
A concise operational check for buyers, sellers, or owners who need documented fundamentals.
- Focused transmit checks
- Basic receive-function check
- Summary of measured condition
Scope confirmed at intake
Most complete report
Full VHF/UHF health report
A broader documented baseline covering supported transmit, receive, electrical, and condition checks.
- Expanded supported measurements
- Condition notes and findings
- Readable measurement documentation
Recommended for unknown history
Adjustment service
FM alignment
Measurement-led adjustment when initial results show that alignment is appropriate and serviceable.
- Pre-alignment measurements
- Supported adjustments
- Post-alignment verification
Accepted case by case
Starting prices may change with equipment condition, required setup, available service information, special adapters, or unusual test requirements.
Useful evidence, not “it seems fine”
The goal is a report an owner, buyer, seller, or club can understand and use.
A good fit for
- Used-radio buyers evaluating a purchase
- Sellers documenting measurable condition
- Club members and repeater operators
- Owners troubleshooting uncertain performance
- Radios needing a baseline before repair
What you may receive
- Measurement tables and test conditions
- Test equipment used where useful
- Condition notes and supporting photos
- Plain-language summary findings
- Recommended next step when appropriate
